Auction House Hot Dog Sauce


This obviously makes a boatload of hot dog sauce, since it was meant for the Auction House. If you cut the recipe in half, it is enough for a fairly large crowd (25 people or so).

Cook in saucepan for 1 hour:
1 cups celery, cut fine
2 onions, cut fine
1 green pepper, cut fine

Brown 2 lbs. of hamburger, crumbling the meat up fine.

Combine celery, onion, and green pepper mixture with browned hamburger in a large saucepan and add:
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
cup sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cans of tomato soup
2 tomato soup cans of water
1 regular bottle ketchup

Cook for 15 minutes and then add:
2 packages of saltine crackers, rolled fine.
Heat through.
